Why am I seeing this charge?

You may notice a charge on your bank statement that you don’t recognise and find your way to CreditorWatch through a search engine.

CreditorWatch is a commercial credit reporting bureau. We hold ABN, ACN and ASIC information for all registered businesses in Australia. It’s common for a company's credit report to appear in search results when looking for contact details.

Identifying a genuine CreditorWatch charge

Check the description on your bank or credit card statement.

  • If the description is CREDITORWATCH PROTECT NORTH SYDNEY AU, the charge is from CreditorWatch.

  • If it shows anything else, it is not from CreditorWatch.

What to do next

  • If the description matches CREDITORWATCH PROTECT, NORTH SYDNEY, the charge is legitimate.

  • If it does not match, contact your bank or credit card provider immediately, as the charge did not originate from CreditorWatch.
