I have an unidentified charge on my bank account

Learn how to identify a CreditorWatch charge on your bank statement and confirm whether a transaction is genuine.

Updated over 2 months ago

If you see a charge on your billing statement that you don’t recognise, you may have searched for company information through a website other than CreditorWatch.

Confirming the Source of the Charge

CreditorWatch is a Commercial Credit Reporting Bureau. We hold ABN, ACN, and ASIC information for all registered businesses in Australia.

When you search for a business online, it’s common for CreditorWatch credit profiles to appear in search results.

How to Identify a CreditorWatch Charge

Check the description next to the charge on your bank or credit card statement.
If the description includes:

CREDITORWATCH PROTECT, NORTH SYDNEY

This charge is from CreditorWatch.

If the description shows anything else, it is not related to CreditorWatch. Please contact your bank or credit card provider for assistance.
