ApplyEasy: Document Verification Service

Learn how to enable and use identity verification (DVS) in ApplyEasy, including setup, form configuration, applicant process, viewing results, downloading statements, and troubleshooting.

Overview

ApplyEasy helps businesses automate credit application workflows. To reduce fraud, minimise financial loss, and improve compliance, ApplyEasy integrates with IDVerse for identity verification (DVS). This feature validates an applicant’s identity using official documents such as:

  • Australian driver’s licence

  • Passport

  • Medicare card

Note: Only the applicant’s identity is verified.

Benefits of Enabling Identity Verification

  • Reduce fraud risk by confirming applicant identity

  • Meet compliance requirements (KYC, AML)

  • Improve credit risk assessments with verified data

  • Build trust with customers

  • Automate verification without manual checks

  • Avoid storing personal identity information locally

Setting Up Identity Verification

To enable identity verification in ApplyEasy:

  1. Contact your CreditorWatch account manager to request setup.

  2. The ApplyEasy team will update your application form to include identity verification fields.

  3. Applicants will be informed they’ll receive an SMS from IDVerse after submitting their application.

Rule-Based Verification

You can configure verification rules based on your organisation’s credit policy. Common criteria include:

  • Applicant type (e.g., sole trader, partnership, trust)

  • Credit limit requested

  • Other form data

Some organisations choose to verify all applicants, while others might verify only a specific subset.

Let your account manager know which rules to apply when requesting setup.

How Applicants Complete Identity Verification

Part 1: Application Form

  • Applicant completes the application form.

  • At the declaration section, they provide a phone number for the SMS verification link.

  • After submission, a confirmation page advises them to complete identity verification.

Part 2: IDVerse Process

  • Applicant receives an SMS from IDVerse with a verification link.

  • They accept privacy consent.

  • Capture identity document using their mobile camera.

  • IDVerse verifies the document and confirms completion (without showing pass/fail outcome).

Viewing Verification Results

Credit teams can view results in ApplyEasy:

  1. Login to CreditorWatch.

  2. Go to Applications > Inbox.

  3. Select the application and open the Verifications tab.

You’ll see:

  • Applicant details

  • Verification status (Pending, In Progress, Completed, Failed)

  • Option to download the Verification Statement (PDF)

Application Status Updates:

  • ID Verification Received – Applicant completed verification

Verification statements show only the outcome (passed or failed), not document details.
